CloudKid Presents Crypto - Running Up That Hill (with L8NCY)
Crypto reports back to planet Earth with a new track they discovered while they were living in an 80s haze after binging the entirety of Stranger Things last month. You guessed it — it’s their rendition of “RUNNING UP THAT HILL” by British producer and singer-songwriter, Kate Bush. On this version however, we hear an electronic twist, with support by vocalist Chandler Leighton’s electronic/dance side project, L8NCY.
Crypto says, “I wanted to make an epic rendition of the song because it’s been going around for a few weeks now and has inspired so many people, including L8NCY and me. It’s intense like the original, but in a different way. Grandiose, dancey, exciting, villain-esque. That’s the vibe I was going for and what I felt like when watching the show and when that song was playing in the background during Max’s epic scene. I hope it’s sounds like the modern-day version that would offset or accompany the original if it had originally come out here and now.”

Inspired by the universe-renowned music scene on planet Earth, Crypto decided to embark on a hell of a musical journey, leaving their home planet to write and release music for mere humans.
