CloudKid Presents BB Cooper - Medication

BB Cooper is back with another track, just a few months after his debut EP, Ticket to Contemplation. This time he delivers an alt-pop ‘n rock, distinctive guitar and notoriously dark sounding, albeit blues-inspired song, entitled ‘Medication.’ Cooper says the song was written more from an imagined perspective than an actual personal experience of his. The song focuses on the title hook “medication” and how the artist imagines taking medication for the first time would make him feel.

He continues, “I’ve always been fearful of taking medication because I worry about it severely altering my state of mind, so with this song, I focused on that feeling and wrote it from the perspective of someone who has taken so much medication in their life that they are basically numb to its effects.“

BB Cooper is the criminal — and musical mastermind — behind the full body of work, Ticket to Contemplation EP released last summer on CloudKid. Hailing from an undisclosed location, there have been several attempts at guessing his true identity (including referring to him, instead, as DB), none of which have had any luck in a reveal. However, with this secrecy, comes an authenticity, with many of Cooper’s lyrics and themes often being personal in nature and reflective of the turbulent journey he has traveled thus far. Having already garnered support on the debut track of his EP, ‘Blame’ by BBC Radio Introducing, as well as leading YouTube channels xKito, Galaxy and Aviencloud, it is clear that BB Cooper is ready to keep taking the world, and airwaves, by storm. Putting his largest body of work to date behind him, now releasing his first single post-EP, he invites you to get ready, grab a chute and strap in for another adventure. Who knows where he might land next?
