CloudKid Presents updog - leave me alone
Back on his more alternative and pop-rock grind is updog’s third release, ‘leave me alone,’ from his fourth EP, ‘falling is flying,’ out this summer on CloudKid. updog’s signature flow, quirky vocal bending, and honest lyricism is coupled with a solid production and choir-like synergy on the track’s chorus which make for an interesting and successful pairing that the artist seems to know how to tackle well at this point.
updog says, “The song is about an overbearing friend, who you really want to like, and you do at the start, but then starts acting clingy, possessive and disrespectful by not respecting privacy or understanding that you have a life of your own outside your friendship with them. I had a friend like this, and don’t get me wrong, he was a good guy, but we both had completely different lifestyles and values. He just kept pushing, until I eventually started to, sadly, ghost him.”
