CloudKid Presents Blush Davis - i love you don't worry xx

On Blush Davis’ first song as an artist, having previously written for a plethora of artists prior to, Blush crafts a sound that feels like it’s suspended in time—hypnotic melodies intertwined with muted synths that drift and unravel. Her vocals, gentle yet powerful, wash over the track like a whispered invitation, pulling you from darkness into a glowing light. ‘i love you don’t worry xx’ is a pop anthem for the avant-garde.

She says of the song, “‘i love you don’t worry xx‘ speaks about how your mind can completely take over every part of you, due to doubts or past experiences that had previously triggered something in you. Because of those fears, I had flipped a relationship I was in at the time upside down and thought the other person was distrustful and cheating, leading me to think they were going to leave, (which ended up not being true as listeners find out in the chorus, and shown in the song’s title — it’s a text message I actually received from that person). In the process of writing this song, I slowly realized that I was the real villain, because I had just been projecting my fears onto someone who did actually love me. When this was happening, I found myself trapped in isolation, inside my head, building a world around me that distanced me from other people or the danger I felt they posed.”

»...I found myself trapped in isolation.«

Blush Davis’ artistic journey began on the peaceful island of Föhr — just off the coast of Germany — surrounded by choirs and canvases. Her passion for art started during childhood and into adolescence, eventually leading her to the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York for acting. But it was Berlin’s vibrant arts scene that soon thereafter drew her into music. By 2018, her first single, under a different name, “All About,” topped the Hype Machine charts, capturing attention from outlets like Vogue Germany and ZEIT Magazin. She eventually began writing for other artists, co-writing major hits, including BTS’s “Life Goes On” and Jimin’s “Like Crazy.” After years behind the scenes, she’s ready to take the world by storm, set to debut her own artist project in October 2024 as Blush Davis. Her first single, under CloudKid, ‘i love you don’t worry xx’ out soon on DSPs.
