She says of the song, “This track is about outgrowing a relationship. Loving someone is sometimes not enough if nothing else aligns. The lyrics carry a sentimental meaning for me as they remind me of some friendships I’ve had in the past and the way they ended. Specifically one friend from my childhood, for whom I still have a lot of love and appreciation, it was just time for us to go our separate ways. The song is now written for what I imagined her perspective to be.”
