CloudKid Presents Jake Daniels - FCKED
Jake Daniels is fucked….or rather, shares his next single, entitled “FCKED,” with the masses, from his fourth EP with CloudKid, entitled The Game, out for the masses this summer. The alt-rock track is a heavy-hitting, aggressive, down-right mean track that is, as Jake puts it, “a bit of a wild card.”
Jake says of the song, “This song is essentially about a crumbling mind, that’s basically sunk into a deep depression and anger. The lyrics discuss the problem the narrator has with prescription drugs, and his spiralling experience with them. As the cover art shows, the narrator is being held captive in a psych ward, tied to the bed because they think he’s crazy, but he just had a bad reaction to the chemicals the staff have given him, instead. Essentially, the song goes on about the problems that happen in modern medicine, and the effects it has at the societal and individual level.”
