CloudKid Presents Apollo On The Run, TRUU, Bentez - Deal Breaker
A sassy energetic modern pop track, UK-based Apollo on the Run joins forces with Berlin-based artists — TRUU and Bentez — to release ‘Deal Breaker,’ a song about the emotional rollercoaster that is going through the different stages of grief one experiences when they find out they’ve been cheated on.
Jordan, aka Apollo on the Run says, “We were inspired by a few songs for this track, including ‘Maria Don’t Call Me’ by Santino Le Saint, and ‘SOLD’ by Lana Lubany. The song is essentially about that helpless sadness and disbelief, and those painful realizations, all eventually leading up to anger after being cheated on. It’s about imagining a person you’re in love with, who you would go above and beyond for, to them betraying you in such a hurtful way. That betrayal and defeat in a way is what inspired the lyrics and sounds of this track.”

Music from the heart of the original a British Gotham City, Apollo On The Run is the brainchild of UK producer and songwriter Jordan Round. Inspired by early 2000’s Deftones and Slipknot songs and sounds, and fused with modern pop, trap R&B like Santino, Le Saint and Doja Cat, these artists helped shape his vision for a fresh new sonic canvas for him. Obtaining over 35 million streams on his co-writes for other artists, Apollo is now showing the world his own unique, artistic vision. Austrian-born, Berlin-based producer and artist, TRUU started to fall in love with dance and pop music at an early age. Later in his musical development, he became influenced by artists like Sub Urban, EMELINE and UPSAHL of whom ultimately cultivated some further inspiration for him musically. His collaboration, “U in my head,” also on CloudKid and with artist Omido, has now reached over a million streams to date, with no desire to stop his fruitful collaborations. Alongside him and Apollo on the track is Bentez, born and raised in Bulgaria, an aspiring singer-songwriter with an affinity for dark pop and alternative artistic expressions. Developing her main instrument, her voice, has been a huge part of her life since her appearance in the music TV show “The Voice of Bulgaria,” where the young artist had the chance of performing in front of a large audience and learning from industry professionals. Her lyricism is dark and unfiltered, touching on subjects such as troubled love, the ego, self-destructive behavior, and other uncomfortable considered topics.
