CloudKid Presents Jake Daniels - Bad Side
After the past two EPs under CloudKid, Jake Daniels graces listeners with his first solo track of the year, ‘Bad Side.‘ He begins the cycle in the run up to his next EP, God, out this summer with the track which features a typical alt-pop sound for Jake, along with trap beats and production made possible by Birk B. The artist says this song is all about domination.
Jake continues with its storyline, “The song refers to a character in old Egyptian times, who worships the goddess Hathor – she’s the goddess of dancing, love, beauty, pleasure, music, and more. He meets her one day and asks her to take control of him to help him unleash his bad side. Although the goddess was relatively viewed in a positive light, I decided to flip the script on this first single and show and tell with my fans and listeners what desire can do to a person, allowing them unleash a side they didn’t even know existed within them. The story is dark, angry, moody and very inspired by Middle Eastern and Egyptian history, which you’ll see a lot of on my artworks and the conceptual side of the next project.”
