CloudKid Presents Kaila Hoy, Coopex - BABY DON'T BURN

American vocalist Kaila Hoy joins forces with French producer COOPEX on their collaborative track, ‘BABY DON’T BURN,’ a housey, pop-infused, semi-dark track that will have any listener feeling like they’re in a nightclub, even if it’s 8 in the morning, nods Kaila. The song is very much inspired by Billie Eilish, however performed in a half groovy, semi-horrifying sense.

Kaila continues, “This song is about craving the things that are bad for us. //“I’ve been good but that’s no fun. Why does lying turn me on?”// It has a creepy and mischievous feel that simply put embodies badassery. It’s also ties into the theme of women antagonists who are sexy, seductive and huntresses, and being powerful in their own right, with the ability to charm no matter what.”

Kaila Hoy began creating music and singing from the minute she could write. She progressed into live performances and paid gigs the young age of 9. Since then, she’s ventured her way deeper into the music industry and took her years of live performances into the studio. By age 12, she recorded one of her songs in the studio and worked with Michael Jay Margules (songwriter-producer with over 50 million records sold worldwide) and Cliff Downs (songwriter-producer signed with Atlantic Records, with records on major TV/film productions). Kaila has since continued to perform locally, perfecting her craft as a songwriter and vocalist. Her drive and passion for music has kept her writing song after song, with her fiery passion for the craft fuelling her ambition for creation and collaboration. With her on the track is Bordeaux-based Teddy Yrius, aka producer Coopex. The Frenchman started to produce electronic dance music in early 2015 and has slowly but steadily found his element in the dance pop scene. After perfecting his craft, he began to reach out and work with labels to reach a larger audience and introduce himself as an artist. Coopex is passionate to work with like-minded artists to create a fresh and forward-thinking vibe of electronic dance music.
