CloudKid Presents Crypto - All The Small Things (ft. updog)
Crypto’s story and collaboration with updog continues right where they both left off. After Crypto graciously returned him back to his home planet, updog then had the idea of showing them some of the songs and bands that he listened to during his teenage years that inspired his own creative endeavors, in the hopes it’d inspire Crypto just the same.
Among the classics played was 00s classic tune, Blink-182’s ‘All The Small Things.’ Immediately, Crypto fell in love with the little piece of magic, the punk attitude coupled with its pop songwriting, that made the song one listeners grew to know and love well. On the song’s nostalgic feeling, updog says, “Crypto told me that it reminded them of their time on Earth. They followed this by insisting I get back into the vocal booth to record the vocals. Alien abduction is definitely not fun, but at least singing, and recreating, a Blink-182 anthem helps make it a bit more bearable.”

Inspired by the universe-renowned music scene on planet Earth, Crypto has decided to embark on a hell of a musical journey, leaving their home planet to write and release music for mere humans. Released on CloudKid, Crypto thought it would be the perfect label to help them explore a whole new world. Giving full freedom of expression and encouragement to be themselves, Crypto is now able to explore their creativity without limits and show us humans where their outer-worldly music skills — and taste, plus epic collaborations — can take them next.
